Family Literacy Program - Northeast Hub

The Nipawin Oasis has become the 11th Family Literacy Hub Service provider serving the northeast of the province with funding from the Ministry of Education— Provincial Library and Literacy Office. The primary objective is to ensure that Northeast families have access to family literacy programs, services and supports to strengthen literacy development at home and in their community.

Current Family Literacy programs offered at the Oasis are:

Traditional Time—
Family Literacy—Every Wed from 10—3

Summer Family Literacy camp—
July & August Family Literacy Weeks—Christmas Break, Feb. Winter Break and Easter Break

Jan. 27 -
Family Literacy Day Celebration

June 21—
National Aboriginal Day and Intergenerational learning

Computer & Internet usage—public use

Library Resources - includes Cree language and Cultural resources
